The Queensland Park service recommends that you walk west to east, commencing the walk from Lamington National Park (Green Mountains section) and ending at the Settlement camping area in Springbrook National Park.

It is essential that hikers wear appropriate clothing and footwear and are self sufficient taking ample stores of water and food. First aid kits are also advisable as snakes have been spotted along these tracks.

Breaking the walk down into sections, there are three portions to make the walk more manageable:

Binna Burra to Woonoongoora walkers’ camp: This portion of the walk is a little longer at 23.6km and will take approximately 6 to 8 hours to complete.
Woonoongoora walkers’ camp to The Settlement camping area: The short final portion of the walk is 9km and will talk approximately 4 to 5 hours to finish.

Camping spots are located along the way, so you must carry your own tent but please note that camping permits are required and fees apply.
