Gold Coast Renaissance Faire

The Gold Coast Renaissance Faire is an event with lively re-creation of the 16th century Elizabethan era.

At this event you will see a living theatre of costumed entertainers recreating the golden age of Shakespeare, the Musketeers and the Tudors.

2017 Gold Coast Renaissance Faire Broadbeach, Qld

The Gold Coast Renaissance Faire is known for providing entertainment similar to that of Golden Elizabethan era. Tourists have the opportunity to watch classic Shakespeare plays, funny Homunculus Comedia del Arte, charming dancers and the lively Sasta traditional Irish Band.

There are three stages which provide ongoing entertainment including plays, dance and music of the period. A royal procession also makes its way through the fair grounds three times per day, where visitors can interact with the performers and sing and dance along to the music. Children will also be entertained by the puppet shows and storytelling held on the stages throughout the day.

In other areas of the Renaissance Faire visitors can join in with an archery tournament, or can watch a performance by musketeers as they fight for honour with their flashing swords.

There are plenty of stalls selling food from that period including pastries, pies and sweets. You will also find stalls selling arts and crafts which you can purchase and take home as a souvenir.

For children, a trip to the Renaissance Faire is like stepping into a fairy tale picture book. So come and check out this unique event in Pratten Park, Broadbeach. Getting to the Faire is easy, just catch the G:Link Tram to the Broadbeach South Station and the Faire is just a short walk away.
