Just a 30-minute drive from the Gold Coast Airport, Surfers Paradise is conveniently located in between the coast and the Gold Coast Hinterland. Set along the beach, Surfers Paradise is mere meters from the beautiful coastline but still, only one hours drive from the gorgeous Lamington National Park. So for those who want to swim in the surf one day and take a bushwalk on another, Surfers Paradise is ideally located.

Within Surfers Paradise, there is a myriad of things to see and do. The Skypoint Observation Deck should be your first port of call to orient yourself in this city. SkyPoint is the only beach-side observation deck in Australia. Today, it is one of the major tourist attractions in the area, with a high number of visitors going there to enjoy the 360-degree bird’s eye view of Surfers Paradise and beyond.

For something fun for the kids, check out Ripley’s Believe it or Not where you can take self-guided tour to see some incredible exhibits depicting magic, illusions, displays, mystery, many amazing stories and interactive displays. Also for the kids, check out Infinity, 7D Cinema or the Aquaduck; all family-friendly activities that the kids will love.

Surfers Paradise is also a well known night spot where you can find hundreds of restaurants, bars and clubs for those who want to head out on the town. Surfers Paradise is of course located near to the famous Gold Coast theme parks. Only a short 15-minute drive south is Sea World and a 30-minute drive west via the Pacific Motorway to Movie World, Dreamworld and Wet n Wild.

Surfers Paradise is a compact area and it is easy to walk around. In fact it might take longer to try and find a car park than walk, however, you can get around by car or taxi. Conveniently, there is a new tram known as G:Link which connects many of the suburbs along the coast. See the images below for more information.
