The World Surf League (WSL) has officially confirmed the cancellation of the annual Gold Coast Corona Open at Snapper Rocks.in 2021. “The difficult decision to cancel this event was based on the genuine possibility of multiple risks attached to sudden public health measures in reaction to COVID-19 such as lockdowns, state border restrictions, and event cancellations”
This event includes a series of programs with a number of top Australian surfers heading to this unique event to compete and win the title.

Boasting a massive prize purse, the event sets up shop at Snapper Rocks in Coolangatta, which is renowned for its iconic ‘super-bank’, so it promises world-class waves and flawless right-hand barrels.
