Flights to Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is located on the south-eastern coast of Queensland, approximately 94km south of Brisbane.

There are a wide range of transport options to get to the Gold Coast, but flights to Gold Coast are certainly the most convenient.

Cheap Flights to Gold Coast From Sydney & Melbourne

The Gold Coast Airport is located in Bilinga, just 10 minutes north of Coolangatta which is why this airport is often referred to as “Coolangatta Airport.” The Gold Coast Airport Terminal is open from 4:30am until the last flight has cleared and Gold Coast airport parking is available from approximately $16 a day with both short-term and long-term parking available.

Visitors to the Gold Coast can get a range of cheap domestic and international flights. There are a number of carriers which fly in and out of the Gold Coast airport including: Air Asia, Air New Zealand, Jetstar, Qantas, Tiger Air and Virgin Australia. This means that there is a lot of competition between the carriers which can translate into cheap flights for travellers.

For the cheapest flights into the Gold Coast, visitors should travel during the Autumn/Winter months which are considered the low season. Flights should be booked in advance to get the best deals, with weekday travelling often a lot cheaper than travelling on a weekend or over public holidays.

From the Gold Coast, travellers can not only get to other domestic airports within Australia but also international locations including New Zealand, Fiji, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Bali, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo, to name just a few.

To get to and from the Gold Coast Airport, taxi services are available, as well as car hire and shuttle services. The Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle will take you directly to your accommodation on the Gold Coast and might be slightly cheaper than a taxi, depending on how many people you are travelling with. Buses are also available and are certainly the cheapest way to get into town, but they are slower than other modes of transport.
