Gold Coast Airport Marathon

The Gold coast Airport Marathon is a major sporting event with spectators and participants coming from all over the world. Every July, the Gold Coast gets ready to host the biggest marathon race held in the state.

Held over two days, the Gold Coast Airport Marathon has successfully been held for more than 3 decades and draws thousands of participants and spectators year after year.

Participants of any age can take part in this event as there is no age limit (except for the 42km marathon). There are a number of different races held within this event including; the marathon, half marathon, 15km wheelchair marathon, 10km run, 5.7km challenge and the 4km and 2km junior dash.

The Gold coast Airport Marathon is the most challenging event run over 42kms where a huge number of men and women take part. In recent years, more than 24,000 runners participated in this event.

The race also invites handicapped, skilled sports people, fancy dressed participants and celebrities to take part. To promote good health and camaraderie, this race encourages participants of all ages and fitness levels to take part in one of the fun challenges.
