The Gold coast Airport Marathon is a major sporting event with spectators and participants coming from all over the world. Every June or July, the Gold Coast gets ready to host the biggest marathon race held in the state.
Held over two days, the Gold Coast Airport Marathon has successfully been held for more than 4 decades and draws thousands of participants and spectators year after year.

The Gold coast Airport Marathon is the most challenging event run over 42kms where a huge number of men and women take part. In recent years, more than 24,000 runners participated in this event.
The race also invites handicapped, skilled sports people, fancy dressed participants and celebrities to take part. To promote good health and camaraderie, this race encourages participants of all ages and fitness levels to take part in one of the fun challenges.

As the 2017 event has only just finished, no information about the 2018 dates has been released as yet by the organisers.

Hi Karen, the marathon starts at Broadwater Parklands on the corner of Marine Parade and Nerang Street. The finish line is nearby along the water, right next to the Aquatic Centre.
