Anzac Park is a large open parkland located in Southport on the Gold Coast. Located next to the Broadwater Parklands and near to the Rockpools along the beach, Anzac Park is a popular spot for families to bring their kids for a day of fun.

Anzac Park was been so named to commemorate those who made the greatest sacrifice in the Great War between 1914 – 1919. The ANZAC Park Memorial Gates were unveiled by the Governor-General in 1922. An additional plaque was added later to commemorate soldiers who died in World War II.

Each year on the 25th of April, Australia remembers those who have fallen on Anzac Day, which is a public holiday all throughout the nation. On this date each year, Anzac Park is filled at dawn with thousands of people who come together to pay their respect to the fallen. The Dawn Service commences at 5am and is followed by a march. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

Anzac Park is also a much-loved recreation park for families. There are a number of walking tracks, picnic tables and shady areas to rest. Kids will love paddling in the Rockpools or swimming in the nearby beach. There is also a boat ramp at Anzac Park which can be accessed at high tide. There are also toilet facilities located nearby and the park is within walking distance to many shops and cafes.
